About the Business
Chris Young is a Master Thatcher who lives in the Wiltshire village of Alderbury. Thatching for over 27 years in Salisbury and all over Wiltshire and Hampshire, he was eventually joined 20 years ago by his son who is also a Master Thatcher. Chris Young and son are Craftsman in both Combed Wheat Reed and Water Reed thatched roofing, sourcing their materials directly from local suppliers. As a traditional family business they do all the thatch work themselves without the use of subcontractors. Chris Young Master Thatchers are proud to be part of the National Society of Master Thatchers, Wiltshire Master Thatchers Association, and the National Council of Master Thatchers Association.
Chris Young Master Thatcher's strive to provide a reliable and comprehensive thatching service that is prompt and where the client is kept well informed at all stages of the project.
