About the Business

Serving the UK roofing industry for over 25 years, SPRA employs two independent directors, James Talman (CEO) and Jim Hooker (Technical Director) to manage and develop the association's activities on its behalf. The SPRA Council consists of 11 elected representatives (including the Chairman) from its membership who are elected to serve for two years to develop and agree strategies to fulfil the association's obligations for continuous improvement. Operational involvement of all members is through meetings of SPRA's Technical Committee.

Mike has a wealth of commercial experience and expertise in roofing and cladding having spent 24 years working for SSQ and Eternit. Mike's vision is to inspire roofers, architects and contractors to maximise the use of roof space to include amenity, biodiversity and energy capture.
